Damage to underground utility lines can cause far-reaching consequences, from serious injury and environmental damage to the loss of vital services we depend on every day. Preventing damage to these facilities is of the utmost importance. Education on damage prevention is the first step in protecting Virginia's underground utility lines. A computer based training course can provide the capability for all stakeholders, from any state, to receive training from any smart device on Virginia's Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act. 

VA811 contracted ITS to develop this computer based training course.  ITS proactively researched our company to gain a full understanding of our business.  They not only provided invaluable insight on how to develop the course but also provided knowledge on how to implement a true Learning Management System.  Their knowledge, availability and dedication to this project is unprecedented!

The training was exactly what I had in mind when I contacted Jason last November.  We have a great group of industry and LP gas inspector volunteers that instruct at our Safety School, with some being seasoned instructors, even they said it was a great course.  It made everyone think about their individual presentation and how they can improve them.  An element that was new to everyone was the information about adult learners and in particular how they receive information and the percentages provided on the student’s ability to retain information.  The material about making use of teaching methods using all the senses was very valuable as well.  The speaking exercises and feedback were extremely effective and beneficial as it was different presenting to our peers then to the students at the Safety School.  It made most a little uncomfortable but in a good way.  It made them think about their responsibility as THE instructor for the particular class they teach.  This class provided them tools to use to engage the students and also monitor the students response of what is being taught.  We gained tons of information and I’m so glad we have the book to refer back to.  

Wade was the perfect trainer for our group.  He was knowledgeable and very informative.  He was easy to listen to and to communicate with and when we were all given our assignments we wanted to please him.  His feedback was desired and supportive.
