This extensive two-day training program provides valuable insights for professionals at all levels of experience in the field of pipeline operations. Participants can choose to attend Day 1, Day 2, or both days, customizing their learning journey to meet specific needs.

Day 1 – Operator Qualification 101

This day will provide in-depth information regarding why OQ exists, how regulatory agencies are changing, and what should be considered to keep your OQ program relevant. Discussions on evaluation methods, training, covered tasks, span-of-control and reevaluation intervals will be provided for consideration. PHMSA’s FAQ on OQ will also be reviewed.

Day 2 – O&M Program Management Review

This day provides a brief introduction into the development of the pipeline safety regulations, how to actively participate in that process and then newly implemented and proposed changes for operators will be discussed. Additionally, a presentation and discussion will address inspections and how to adequately prepare for them.

For attendees joining both days, the training offers a comprehensive view of pipeline operations. It seamlessly blends fundamental Operator Qualification (OQ) principles with a detailed exploration of regulatory intricacies. Participants will acquire not only valuable insights but also practical skills, fostering a collaborative understanding essential for elevating the safety and efficiency of their pipeline systems.
